  • yousef Saeed Yousef is a Poet and literary critic. He studied Persian, English and German literature in Mashhad, Tehran and Frankfurt am Main. He has PhD in comparative literature from the University of Toronto. He is the author of umerous articles (mostly in Persian); editor of Poetry Periodical (1995-1996); published 9 books in Persian (poetry, translations and literary criticism). His publications include: A translation of Human Beginnings by Olivia Vlahos (Tehran: Toos, 1978); She'r-e jonbesh-e novin [Poetry of the new movement], poems (Tehran: Toos, 1979); Sorudhaye setayesh [Songs of praise], translation of 120 poems by Bertolt Brecht (Paris: Khavaran, 1985); Now'i az naqd bar now'i az she'r [A kind of criticism of a kind of poetry] (Saarbrücken: Navid, 1986); Ta'ammoli dar rah [Contemplation on the way], selected poems (Tehran: Seda, 1994) ; Jan-bakhtegan be bu-ye farda'i now [Fallen, aspiring to a better tomorrow], long poem (Paris: Noghteh, 2003)
